core values

  1. The Bible – We believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (2 Tim. 3:16; Ps. 19:7-11; 2 Pet. 1:21; Heb. 4:12; Ps. 119:105)
  2. God – We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit and their eternal relationship of radical selflessness within the Trinity is the model for God’s people today. (John 1:1; John 10:30; 2 Cor. 3:17; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 Cor. 8:6; 2 Cor. 3:17; Eph. 4:4-6; 2 Cor. 1:21-22; John 17:20-23)
  3. The Person of Christ – We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. (John 3:16; John 1:1; John 14:9; 1 Tim. 2:5; John 8:58; Isa. 9:6; Matt. 1:18 Isa. 7:14)
  4. The Holy Spirit – We believe the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine, and proceeds from the Father and the Son, convicting the world of sin, calling man to Christ and fully indwelling and sealing all true believers in Christ until the day of redemption. (John 14:26; Acts 2:38; 1 Cor. 6:19; Luke 11:13; 2 Cor. 3:17; Eph. 1:13; John 15:26)
  5. Man – We believe that man was created in the image of God to enjoy an intimate relationship with God, that man sinned, and thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and stand in need of redemption. (Gen. 1:27; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23; 2 Tim. 1:9; John 3:3)
  6. Sin and Hell - We believe disobedience to God and transgression of His commands is sin and that all mankind has sinned. The result of that sin is spiritual death and will result in eternal separation from God in a real place called Hell unless they have received the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. (1 John 3:4; Deut. 9:7; James 4:7; 1 John 5:17; Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23; 1 John 8-10; Rom. 5:12; John 14:6; Matt. 25:46; Matt. 13:50; 2 Thes. 1:9)
  7. Salvation – We believe that the Lord Jesus died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who trust in Christ alone by faith alone are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God. (John 14:6; 1 John 4:14; John 3:17; Acts 4:11-12; Rom. 3:22-25; Rom. 6:23; John 3:36)
  8. Resurrection – We believe in the literal, bodily, resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead which declares that Jesus is Deity and the only way to the Father. (1 Thes. 4:14; 1 Cor. 6:14; Rom. 8:11; Acts 3:15; Luke 24:5-6; Rom. 4:25; Rom. 1:4; 1 Pet. 1:3)
  9. Ascension - We believe in the ascension of Jesus Christ to the right hand of God the Father in Heaven and His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. (Acts 1:9; Mark 16:19; 1 Pet. 3:22; Rom. 8:34; Heb. 4:14; Heb. 7:25; Heb. 9:24)
  10. Return of Christ – We believe that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will personally return and set up His Kingdom wherein He will rule and reign in righteousness. (Acts 1:11; Rev. 1:7; John 14:3; Matt. 24:27; Luke 12:40; Matt. 25:31-32)
  11. Governmental Authority - We believe that government and civil authority has been instituted by God and we should be subject to that authority. However no human government authority can amend or override the commands of God and when there exists a conflict we are compelled to obey God. (Rom. 13:1; 1 Pet. 2:13-14; Titus 3:1; Ps. 22:28; Acts 5:29)
  12. Eternity – We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the blessedness of the saved to spend eternity in the presence of God and the retribution of the lost to be eternally separated from God. (John 5:24; Rom. 6:23; John 3:16; 2 Thes. 1:7-9; 1 Thes. 4:14; Rom. 8:11; Rom. 6:4)
  13. Marriage, Sexuality and Family
    a. We believe that marriage was ordained by God at creation as the sacred union of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union and that all sexual conduct outside the bonds of marriage is sin as delineated in Scripture. (Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:4-5; 1 Cor. 6:9-10; Lev. 18:6-30; Heb. 13:4)
    b. We believe that the physical gender in which a person is born is established by God and any attempts to hide, deny, or alter their gender is sin. (Ex. 4:11; Deut. 22:5; Ps. 139:13-16)
    c. We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. Thus all human life is sacred and worthy of protection from the moment of conception. (Gen. 1:26-28; Gen. 2:24; Ps. 127; Ps. 128; Ps. 139:13-16)

  • grace is greater than sin

"...but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more..." Romans 5:20

Even if you have only sinned once in your life you still need grace. If, however, you are like us, you have sinned much more than just once. We are dependent on God's grace for the forgiveness of our sin. We believe that if you are still breathing there is still a chance to find forgiveness, begin again, and get it right.

  • together is better than alone

"Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?  And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart." Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

A wise old man once said, "It's dangerous to go alone."  We are not meant to live this life apart from others. Come be part of our family of faith.

  • found people find people

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you..." Matthew 28:19-20

When you've been found by a love so great you can't help but tell people.

  • STRETCHED faith is growing faith

"The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” Luke 17:5

Easy answers are not real answers. So no easy answers here. Bad things happen and there is not always a reason. Sometimes God is silent and sometimes God hides. Even the largest of faiths can be stretched thin in situations like these. The good news is that stretched faith is growing faith and a faith that is growing is a faith that wins the day.

  • family is FUNDAMENTAL

"...each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with a promise), so that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth. Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."  Ephesians 5:33-6:4

Love yours or hate yours, family is the foundation of our society. Families may look different and act different but they are all important to God and important to us. It is possible through Jesus for families of all make ups to be stable and supportive.

  • loving god means loving people

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also. 1 John 4:20-21

If you say you love God but don't love people we don't believe you. If you say you love God and you want to love people we will help you.
